Wednesdays in November

It's time to reserve your spots for Wednesday evenings at the Doubleton Club. Regular games don't require signups, but are much appreciated and help us organize the game so we are able to start on time. If you want a special table or direction, reservations are advised. The game schedule for this month is:
  • November 6, 13, 20 - Regular games
  • November 27 - Thanksgiving Eve: No Game!
Are you a SLOW PLAYER? There is one sure way to improve your tempo. "Play now; talk later." Save your discussions of the hands until the game is over. Talking about a hand at the table doesn't just waste time. (1) If your conversation is overheard by other players, you've violated Law 90 and are subject to procedural penalties. (2) It's possible that one of your comments might be interpreted by an opponent as gloating or insulting, thus violating the ACBL's principle of Active Ethics. (3) Finally, during the heat of the moment, your partner might take one of your comments as criticism. Partners don't play as well after being criticized - and criticism is one sure way to destroy a partnership. Remember, "Play now; talk later."

Do you want to verify your reservation?  Click on the "Automagic List" link. This list updates automatically, although it does take a minute or two, and date tabs at the bottom of the page provide access to the reservations week-by-week. Note that the Automagic List does not include the standing reserved list.

Are you looking for a partner for an upcoming Doubleton Club game? Try our partner request formYour request will not be visible to anyone but Lori and Sue.  We will try to set you up with the most compatible person possible.
